The scientific and production company GRASYS has supplied a containerized mobile nitrogen station for support of transshipment and fractionation of the stable gas condensate supplied from the Purovsky CPP to the transshipment terminal of the Ust-Luga Commercial Seaport.
The design capacity of the handling terminal based in the Ust-Luga port is 6 MTPA. The construction will be arranged in two stages: the first line designed for processing of 3 MTPA of feedstock is slated for commissioning in the fourth quarter of 2012, and the similar second line is slated for the fourth quarter of 2015.
The capacity of the nitrogen station supplied is 1,500 cubic meters of 99.5% nitrogen per hour. The station allows producing nitrogen under 10 bar and 40 bar. The nitrogen station system produces nitrogen using the state-of-the-art membrane air separation technology. The main assembly units of the nitrogen station supplied by SPC GRASYS are: compressor unit, booster compressor, air treatment unit, gas separation unit, control and monitoring system.
The maintenance part of the nitrogen station determining the efficiency of its operation is the GRASYS new-generation membrane gas separation unit. GRASYS membrane units are made of highly efficient hollow-fiber membranes characterized by stability against the feed air. The units do not require special transportation, storage and operation conditions even after exposure to low temperatures. All this ensures the exceptional performance characteristics of the nitrogen stations:
- High stability of the station technical parameters;
- Quick warm-up;
- Flexible regulation of nitrogen capacity and purity;
- Simplicity in operation;
- Enhanced reliability;
- Extended useful life.
GRASYS nitrogen stations are equipped with the advanced intelligent control and monitoring system (CMS) GRASYS Intelligent Control-7 based on microcontrollers and completed with the control panel with active liquid-crystal display and «hot» buttons for fast access to the critical functions. The control system provides comprehensive control of station operation with the options for manual, automatic and remote operation, monitoring and archiving of the process parameters. Additionally, CMS may be completed with the remote monitoring system for keeping records and regularly transferring the process deviations register to the GRASYS service and for carrying out remote diagnostics.
The key process and auxiliary equipment of the nitrogen stations is installed inside the block-boxes designed for operation in a variety of climatic zones and completed with the automatic balanced ventilation, heating, fire fighting, security and fire alarm, external, internal and emergency lighting systems. The stations may be provided in a stationary version, on trailer or truck-mounted.
