Automatic Control System (Compressor Unit)
Automatic Control System (ACS) is used to control the compressor unit according to a pre-set algorithm, to monitor parameters, protect the compressor unit against emergency operating conditions, provide information on the status of machinery, and communicate the unit status to a superordinate level.
The compressor unit ACS provides:
- Remote start-up and shut-down of the compressor unit;
- Measurement of gas pressure and temperature at the compressor inlet and outlet;
- Lubrication system pressure monitoring;
- Immediate shutdown of the compressor unit in the event of fire detection;
- Automatic gas pressure control at the outlet;
- Drive motor start-up lock and shut-down in case of emergency and if compressor unit process parameters do not match the set values;
- Functional communication with the superordinate ACS (via an agreed protocol);
- Archiving of the compressor unit's operating parameters.
