Recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) is a frame pool where fish are raised under the closed water exchange cycle conditions. Due to the high fish population density, the RAS water needs enriching with oxygen. Oxygen is also required when transporting live fish in tanks, especially in the summertime.

General Application

he proper oxygen concentration for fish depends on species and development stage: eggs, fish larvae, juveniles, harvestable fish. The oxygen concentration details are also essential when transporting fish.

The conducted research has shown that the use of oxygen units and plants in incubation workshops for growing juveniles results in:

  • increasing the juvenile yield up to 2–2.5 times
  • increasing juveniles survival up to 98%
  • increasing the juvenile weight gain fry by a factor of 1.5–1.8
  • decreasing the incubation period by twice or two and a half times

The use of Grasys oxygen units for fish breeding will permit you to reduce the feed ratio by a factor of 1.3–1.5, and improve the fish weight gain by a factor of 1.4–1.6.
