Methanol Production by Steam Methane Reforming (SMR)

Steam reforming methanol production units are used for conversion of associated petroleum gas. Methanol is used in the gas industry (as a hydrate inhibitor), in the production of synthetic gasoline using MTG technology, in chemical processes for the production of solvents and formaldehyde.
